Cookie Policy
About the “Advertising” cookie category
You may notice that our cookie settings include a category called “Advertising”. We want to be very clear that Brussels.Fitness does not use advertising or marketing cookies and does not sell personal data to advertising companies or data brokers.
This category appears because our website platform uses a standard, GDPR compliant consent framework that requires all potential cookie categories to remain visible. Removing or hiding a category would reduce transparency and could itself infringe GDPR requirements, even when that category is not used.
Advertising and marketing cookies are not used on Brussels.Fitness.
What Brussels.Fitness does and does not do
Brussels.Fitness is an independent platform created to support the diversity of fitness professionals and communities in Brussels. We do not run advertising, we do not track users for marketing purposes, and we do not monetise personal data.
We use personal data only to operate the platform. This includes allowing users to create accounts, access workout content, manage professional listings, process subscriptions, and maintain the security and stability of the website.
Why we use analytics
Any analytics we use are limited to understanding general traffic patterns, such as which trainer or venue pages are visited. This information helps fitness professionals understand what works and improve their visibility on the platform.
Analytics data is used solely for platform improvement. It is not used for advertising, behavioural profiling, or cross site tracking, and it is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Squarespace’s role
Squarespace is the technical platform that hosts Brussels.Fitness. Under EU data protection law, Squarespace acts as a data processor on our behalf.
This means Squarespace processes data only to provide website hosting, security, account functionality, and analytics tools that we choose to use. Squarespace does not own the data, does not reuse it for its own purposes, and does not sell or monetise it.
Third party services
Some services used on Brussels.Fitness, such as payment processing or video hosting, are provided by trusted third party providers. These providers process only the data necessary to deliver their service and are contractually required to comply with data protection regulations.
We do not authorise any third party to use personal data for advertising or unrelated purposes.
Our commitment
Our goal is to build a trustworthy, community focused platform where users and professionals can engage without hidden tracking, data resale, or advertising driven profiling.
